I decided to remind my mom that purgatory is Catholic dogma and therefore one must believe in it to be in communion with the Church.
She said:
“Well, I am planning on going strait to Heaven, so it’s okay.”
haha, oh mom. You’re a piece of work.
Uhh… Purgatory is one of the infallible teachings.
And purgatory isn’t bad. It means “You’re going to Heaven, but just not quite yet.”
I love people who like to pretend it isn’t real…

Reminds me of an Augustine quote:
