Anathema
I would think this is hilarious…
So anathema is this thing that was abolished after Vatican II, or more correctly was made synonymous with excommunication. However, that does not make it any less funny to me.
Basically anathema was like super excommunication performed by the Pope himself. He and twelve priests would hold candles while the Pope would declare the person to be excluded...

crusadermaximus replied to your post: Lucid dreaming
you can’t sin in a dream. If you rob a bank while dreaming, are you required to give the money back when you wake up? We might manipulate dreams, but we are never in full control of them.
Yeah, but if I’m sexually promiscuous in a dream—and I choose to do that because it’s a lucid dream—is it considered impure??

Lucid dreaming
is awesome.
Lucid dreaming is when you are hanging out in your dream and you know you are dreaming. It’s super meta.
Nowadays, most of my dreams are lucid dreams. Not only is it just cool to experience your dreams this way, but it also means you can start to consciously manipulate your dreams.
In recent years, I’ve gotten semi-good at being able to control my dreams. This is a...

Kind of freaking out
I always do this.
Right when things are about to get serious I flip out for like 2-3 days.
Just the idea that the post I made like 2 days ago about not having a boyfriend may soon be inaccurate. :O

Anonymous asked: I see that you are studying Neuroscience in school. I find this interesting considering your apparent religiosity. To my knowledge, neuroscience postulates that consciousness is bound up in the neurons, leaving no room for the existence of something like the immortal soul. How do you handle this discrepancy?

WHY IS THERE BACON IN MY GREEN BEANS?!??
– Me, today at lunch. Probably the only time I’ve ever not wanted bacon.
Anonymous asked: using only scripture, how would you refute the fools who use ephesians and timothy verses that say "women should be silent" to make the bible look like a joke? without using anything but the bible. i'm having trouble with this person whos pulling things like "and man shall rule over you" nonsense to make the bible look dumb.

Changed my blog's colors because Lent.
As of 5 seconds ago, I’ve decided that it’s always going to be liturgically appropriate.
Hahaha, I’m so clever!!

Tennessee only has one natural lake of significant...
Reelfoot Lake. It’s actually more of a swamp/bayou and was formed after an earthquake in 1812.
The rest of TN’s big lakes are manmade. For example, I live really close to Old Hickory Lake, which exists because of a dam on the Cumberland River.
Now I understand why my TN friends can’t even fathom MN’s 11,000+ lakes. Hah.

imissyouthismuch replied to your post: imissyouthismuch replied to your post: Finalizing…
Lol for Lent you will kneel? Do you not kneel during mass? Am I missing something?
What’s not to get? I will kneel during Mass like I always do. I just won’t use the padded kneeler. Instead I will kneel on the ground.
